Can I have a grind and seal in my gym? It seems cheaper.

A grind and seal can be used inside a gym, but we wouldn’t recommend a standard grind and seal due to the fact that the topical coating runs the risk of getting scratched. Especially in a gym setting, where high foot traffic and heavy equipment can scratch the floor, we’d recommend our Hybrid finish instead. Our Hybrid finish is a great choice if are concerned about the cost of a mechanical polish and are looking for a less expensive alternative.  Our Hybrid finish is what we call a ‘low build,’ meaning there’s not much of the sealer on the surface. However, most of the sealer is penetrative so it will take more wear and tear. Standard grind and seals are not a good choice because, in addition to the fact that gym equipment is heavy, it also tends to have sharp edges under the equipment that can mark a floor. For all of those reasons, if you are looking for an ideal gym floor but you want something more affordable, the Hybrid finish is an ideal choice.
